Centre to increase tenure of Judges

Keeping in mind the on-going inconvenience due to very little number of Judges to resolve the trials in Supreme Court as well as the High courts, the government of India has decided to increase the retirement age of the SC Judges from 65 years to 67 years and from 62 to 64 of the HC Judges. Centre has also decided to present this petition in the Parliament during its upcoming spring session. Our report
